Smash Cake

Smash Cake made with Organic Vanilla Frosting Recipe


1/3 cup water

1/3 cup melted coconut oil

3 eggs

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 box Simple Mills Vanilla Cupcake & Cake Mix


1 jar and 1/2 of Simple Mills Vanilla Frosting, at room temperature

1 – 2 tsp ground turmeric


PREHEAT oven to 325ºF and grease two 6-inch springform cake pans.*

PREPARE cake by whisking together water, coconut oil, eggs and vanilla extract in a bowl.

ADD Simple Mills Vanilla Cupcake & Cake Mix and whisk until smooth.

DIVIDE batter between both cake pans.

BAKE for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted.

REMOVE from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes.

REMOVE from pan and place in the fridge to cool off completely for 1 hour.

PREPARE the icing by adding 1 jar and 1/2 of Simple Mills Vanilla Frosting into a bowl along with 1 teaspoon of turmeric. Mix to combine.

ADD more turmeric if desired for a more vibrant yellow color.

TAKE OUT both cakes from the fridge and frost with icing.



* Feel free to use a smaller spring from pan if desired. Adjust the baking time accordingly.
