Calzones

Ingredients

Dough Ingredients
1 box Simple Mills Almond Flour Pizza Dough Mix
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup water
1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

Filling Ingredients
½ cup marinara
½ cup mozzarella, diced or dairy free mozzarella
1/3 cup pepperoni or vegan meat alternative

Instructions

MIX all the dough ingredients together in a bowl until a large ball of dough forms
ROLL out the dough about ¼ inch thick on a lightly floured surface
CUT large circles out of dough using a cookie cutter or the lid of a Tupperware
SPOON 1 Tbsp marinara on the lower half of each circular piece of dough.  Place pepperoni on top of each and sprinkle with mozzarella pieces.
FOLD the upper half of the circle over the lower half.  Brush with egg wash if desired and seal the edges off with the back of a fork
BAKE at 375-400 degrees Farenheit for 12 minutes until the crust turns golden brown
